Nevada Cancer Institute (NVCI) is the official cancer institute for the State of Nevada. A nonprofit organization, NVCI provides to communities in Nevada, the southwest and beyond, education, early detection, prevention, research expertise and high quality patient care. NVCI is striving for a future without cancer that is achieved through initiated and collaborative research in basic, clinical and population science. Postdoctoral positions are available immediately in areas of cancer pharmacology and genetics. Under the general supervision of the Principle Investigator, the Post Doctoral Associate works with a large degree of independence to further the aims of the Investigator’s research project and actively participates in developing, designing, executing, and publishing/presenting results. Performs all duties in accordance with NVCI’s mission, vision and values of Discovery, Excellence, Collaboration, Compassion, Integrity, and Stewardship. NVCI is seeking self-motivated and career-oriented candidates to join an exciting interactive research team focused on translational research. PhD or MD/PhD required with a research background in molecular pharmacology, immunology, clinical and pre-clinical pharmacology, drug metabolism or cell biology. Research experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, in vivo and molecular imaging, analytical chemistry and/or transgenic technology is preferred.
