Positions for post-doctoral fellows or Ph.D. students are available in the Mouse Genetics & Circadian Biology Laboratory of Dr. Hai-Ying Mary Cheng at the University of Ottawa, Canada. Using a wide array of research tools/techniques, including gene knockout and transgenic mice, confocal microscopy, behavioural assays, cell/tissue culture-based assays, and standard molecular biological techniques (eg., qPCR), the laboratory aims to dissect the cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate circadian clock timing processes in mammals, as well as the interactions between clock timing and other physiological processes (eg., neurogenesis).
