A postdoctoral position is available to investigate cell survival mechanism that is unique to cancer cells in the laboratory of Dr. David Liu, at Penn State Cancer Institute and the Department of Neural and Behavioral Sciences at Penn State University College of Medicine, Hershey. Ongoing projects focus on elucidating the mechanism by which ATF5, a bZIP transcription factor, promotes cancer-specific cell survival. We are seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented investigator to join a dynamic team http://fred.psu.edu/ds/retrieve/fred/investigator/dxl39 Candidates are expected to have solid backgrounds in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Cancer Biology, and/or Stem Cell Biology. Experience/publications in cell death and signal transduction studies would be an advantage.
